Strings of words,
Like pearls from oysters,
Emerge so swiftly..
But lean in closer,
Closer than that,
Focus your beam,
In this sea of words,
Like treasure,
Submerged in a corner,
Not one, but many treasures,
Some bright and shining,
Some dark and coiled,
But jewels nevertheless,
All together, submerged,
Ocean deep.
When suddenly those pearls sparkle,
Each with a story to tell,
With years of subdued somethings,
Gushing from the depths,
Floating upwards towards the stream,
The words of my poetry,
Do just this,
Rise from inner depths,
Depths that are ocean deep.
