With Anne (Day 3)

Montgomery brought her to me.
I started to befriend her.

It began with her red hair,
I wove a pretty redhead to see.

Of hazel eyes, she spoke often,
I felt in them, a swirling sea breeze.

Tall and scrawny, a lady none ever seen,
I saw the grace somewhere hovering.

For her beau of tomorrow, she was "carrots" today,
I knew I must be the same, for my Darcy to be.

She dreamed her way through teenage,
I built my dream around her.

And when she grew, she wrote verses,
I knew then, that's what I must do.

For Anne, became my Goddess,
I saw no other way.

If she saw life through words,
I had to do the same.

Ah, yes, the things we do for love! There's a sweet innocence in your poem that I really like.
